With 80 million inhabitants, high population growth and fast
rising per capita incomes,

The quality of infrastructure in major cities such as
Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Binh
Duong, and Dong Nai has vastly improved. Cranes dominate the skylines of
Vietnam’s major
cities, and roads and ports are being upgraded or newly built all across the
country. Telecom infrastructure is improving and prices are coming down. Also
secondary aspects of infrastructure that are of concern to expatriates, such as
good restaurants, well stocked supermarkets, and international schools are
generally available in the larger cities. |

culture, and foreign businesspersons may as a first approximation act like they
would in
China.
However,
Vietnamese culture is in many subtle ways in different from
Chinese culture, and repeat visitors should develop an understanding of the
specific traits of Vietnamese culture. |
