PM Nguyen Tan Dung sets off for US visit |

(VNA) -
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung left Hanoi on
June 22 morning for an official visit to the US from June 23-26 as a guest of
President George W. Bush.
The
visit aims to continue implementing Vietnam
’s open foreign policy of diversification and multilateralisation of
international relations, including bilateral ties with the US .
It is also expected to strengthen the friendship and multifaceted cooperation
for mutual benefits between the two nations, particularly in economics, trade,
investment, education, training, science, technology and environment.
PM Dung will take the occasion to call for more contributions by overseas
Vietnamese in the US
to the homeland. He will also exchange views with the host on regional and
international issues of mutual concern.
The PM is accompanied by Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem,
Minister and Head of the Government Office Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister of
Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy
